The remarkable story of Mr. Ryuichi Ichinokawa’s secret double life
Ryuichi is the CEO of the Japanese firm “I Want to cheer you up Ltd”. A company that hires, family, friends, colleagues or other, to help people hide their secrets and make their life look perfectly normal.
On the surface Ryuichi has an ordinary family life. He is 44 years old, married and father of two boys, and have an ordinary 9-17 job.
Ryuchi however feels that he is most happy when he is at work as someone else’s family. But his own family have no knowledge of his company and thus lives a double life himself. When he is at work as someone else, he is the man he really wants to be.
Will Ryuchi succeed in maintaining his secrect or will he realize that helping others, requires the courage to help himself and expose his secret double life to his family?
Kasper Astrup Schröder is an autodidact multi artist and designer. Made his debut as a director with the film “The invention of Dr. Nakamats” in 2009 and then “My Playground”, both nominees at the world’s biggest festival for documentaries, IDFA. Born 1979.
