A movie about one of the most powerful women in Denmark.

For the first time ever, a woman is put at the forefront of the overall Danish unions. The movie follows the former office assistant Lizette Risgaard from when she is elected as the chairman for LO and thereby for roughly 1 million wageworkers in Denmark. The last 20 years, LO has experienced a decrease in members and the unions historical meaning for the Danish labour market is threatened. It is Lizette Risgaard’s job to break this evil cycle and she believes she can do it. With her strategy of cooperation with the bourgeois government, her tireless energy and rock-solid belief in community and solidarity. The movie follows Lizette’s fight on the inner as well as the outer lines and includes us in the political machinery, where no other film crew has ever had access. Here, important but not always popular decisions are made. Decisions that sends Lizette into a storm among her own members.
