DOXBIO and The Danish Film School presents
9 films by 9 new directors
A cinematic event of this year’s documentary graduates films from The National Film School of Denmark
Join us when Denmark’s documentary-lab opens its doors to audiences on the 21st of June 2017. Watch the latest trends in Danish documentary, meet the directors and let yourself be provoked, marvel and perhaps change by the films of the future filmdirectors.
Nine new documentary directors says goodbye to the The National Film School of Denmark, ready to contribute to Danish film. With nine exciting and very different personal graduation-films, the new directors shows what the strenghts of documentaries are, and at the same time challenge the genre’s boundaries and norms. Whether its journalistic fly-on-the-wall-documentary, staged reality or something mysterious in between it all, the stories told from real peoples’ lives will give plenty of food for thought.
In collaboration with The National Film School of Denmark and DOXBIO, events will be held in cinemas around the country. Between the films, the directors will be interviewed by distinctive figures from the Danish culture scene about their thoughts on the form and content. The conversations will be live-transmitted from the Film School and to the cinemas, where it’ll be possible for the audience to ask questions via text during the transmission.
